The BC Bombers!
I just recently reached out to a fellow alumni from Traip Academy in Kittery, Maine basically begging him to put a team together to help increase the number of batters that will be competing in the 1st Derby. He was an upper classmen and I wasn't sure if he would even remember who I was. With much surprise and appreciation I received an message back about how he would love to be involved and he would try his best at getting a team of alumni's together for the day. Well, Merle just registered as captain and created The BC Bombers. They are stepping up to the plate and are helping us to save 2nd base.
Team Laffalot is extremely thankful and appreciative of everything that our community has done to support our local team in fighting breast cancer and as we begin our third year with our walk in N.Y.C we will be carrying each and everyone of you with us and feeling your support each step of the way!

...a word from one of our team members
"Not only will this event bring our community together for a family day of baseball, it will educate our community in a small way about breast cancer, how it affects so many people and what we can do when we come together...we make things happen and make a difference!
Our Marshwood baseball players will be able to help out in many ways during the Derby and gain community service hours. On the baseball end, it can show everyone what a great baseball program we have and how passionate the coaches are about the game. It will show all the children that attend how to work as a team (laffalot that is), how unselfish it is to raise money for diseases, and how much fun you can have with your friends, hosting an event that helps others in need! Reaching out and doing something for someone you don't even know touches/opens your heart in ways you can't even imagine...it just plain "makes your heart grow big" :)
I love Team Laffalot....I'm just sayin'...", CMC.
